Maestro Fencing has had a magnificent showing at the recent JAC that took place in Dakar, We are extremely proud of our athletes that represented SA, Christain went in having to use kit from another country as his kit did not arrive with him in Dakar but hemanaged to pull it together to make it through pools and jsut missed making T16. Gianna had a sketchy start but then pulled a rabbit out the hat and secured herself 2 indivdual Bronze medals and a Silver for team!!!!! This

Maestro Fencing School did a stellar job bringing home the lions share of awards at the Provincial AGM/Prizegiving that took place this weekend. Coach and students in the picture recieved awards, some of the recipients were not able to attend or be in the photo but we here at the Club are super proud of our athletes leading the way in the province and hopefully onto the bigger spectrum.

Maestro attended the Gauteng open as the first setting of competitve enviroment for 2026. We are happy witht the results that we garnered through the 2 days and are happy to share our results. Two of our athletes will be attending JAC in Dakar later this month, this competition helping them get into the mode. This year marks a successful entry into Northwood Boys Highschool for Maestro. With the enthusiasm and drive from one of the students at Maestro Fencing (Christian Johnson pictured in the center between Coach M. Blakeman and Mr. Stanley) a demo was held last year and interest generated. This last weekend was KZN Fencing champs hosted in PMB. Maestro club decided to take back with us 22 medals. 9 Gold 4 Silver 9 Bronze We are happy to end the KZN circuit with domination. Well done to Tolu, Noah, Kenley, Kaylene, Gianna, Danica, Yaseen, Aaron and coach Mitchum.
