More About Maestro Fencing School

At the core of our mission lies our commitment to providing an engaging, respectful and rewarding learning environment for our fencers.

 

We meet every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night at 17:30 at Lambert Road Baptist Church in Durban. We start off the evening with a group warmup and partner drills, and then we get down to sparring. Individual lessons schedules are also available and can be negotiated between fencer and coach.

 

Four times a year we also join the three other fencing clubs in Kwa-Zulu Natal at the Fencing KZN closed competitions. Our fencers compete at national competitions throughout the year, and several Maestro members have represented South Africa.

 

We have club members of all ages, from all over Durban and the Ethekwini area. Some come for serious training and competition, and others come for socialisation and personal fitness and development. What we all have in common is a love for the sport of fencing.
